A year of coffee conversations:

Where it all began:
I have this project itching at the corners of my mind. I want to have coffee with people and find a way of documenting those conversations. I have recently learned more about myself and I now know, with more confidence, why I enjoy one-on-one conversations with people. They energize me. Deep, meaningful conversations excite my mind. My mind, my ideas, emotions, interpretations, and my whole internal world which gives me energy.
I’m trying to figure out what my object of continuity should be. Should I ask a question too everyone? should it be the same question or different ones each time? Should I take a picture of each person? or maybe a picture of their hands and their drink? What about having a napkin or piece of paper that I can collect rings from the bottom of their drink? Should I talk to just guy, or girls and guys? Should it just be with people my age, or people older and younger than me? Maybe I could draw each person? or have them draw something? I want a record of the things and people who inspire me and leave a mark on my life.
I think this would be a good project for me because it would mean initiating conversations and asking people to have coffee with me. It would mean voicing my opinion on things and talking to different kind of people. I think it would boost my energy and confidence.
I think I’ll take 100 questions from my 365 Days of Thought, and have people randomly choose 5-10 numbers. That way they are determining what questions they answer. That way fate plays into our conversations a little more….That way I don’t have to make all the decisions. I might give them an option to re-choose one question if they are un comfortable with it.
